Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD)
What is CVD?
CVD, or Chemical Vapor Deposition, is an important thin-film deposition technology whose origins can be traced back to the early 20th century. Its development history is mainly closely related to the development of the semiconductor industry and the demand for new materials.
With the continuous development in the field of materials science and engineering, CVD technology has been widely used, involving the deposition of a wide range of materials such as metals, oxides, nitrides, carbides and so on. At the same time, CVD technology has been continuously improved and optimized, from the traditional thermal CVD, plasma-enhanced CVD (PECVD) to the more advanced atomic layer deposition (ALD) and other technologies continue to emerge, so that CVD in the field of materials preparation applications continue to expand, and has become one of the important means of modern materials preparation.
